Hey everyone!!! Itโs michelle. Not sure if I show up as michelle or tyler ๐๐๐
Anyways!!! So excited so many of you are in the cut this time around! I hope into cuts when I feel like I need a long fast or a reset. I often want a hard reset after summer and after the holidays. We tend to eat pretty clean in general but there are certain seasons where I slip more than normal and can feel it in my body. I struggle with joint pain in my hands, elbows, shoulders etc. I also notice a HUE change in my sleep and overall energy level when my eating is off.
So! Wanted to share some of the things I have experienced on this journey. First, the fast always gives me anxiety lol no idea why. Do what you can! Commit to 12hr increments and stick with it! So youโre at 36 hoursโฆ decide then. Should I go for another 12 and if you decide yes then stick with it! If I say Iโm fasting for four days thatโs way too daunting for me. Do what you can!! If itโs your first fast go 24-36 hours and be proud of yourself!!!
I cannot stress this enough. The salt is soooo important. You need that pink hym salt or you are going to feel like shit. Stay busy. Get out of your house. Stay away from the kitchen. If you can.
Next comes the stew and Iโll tell you what after a long fast it tastes ammmmazing. During the stew you can have raw veggies and stew only. This is great the first day but buy day 3 Iโm craving literally anything else. lol I always find I wanna nuts sooo bad at this point but stay away from them! Continue to remind yourself that you are trying to heal your guy! Your gut is in charge of everything in your body so itโs supper important to let it heal! I will continue this but running out of

If you do chicken make sure you do chicken thighs bc you need the fat. Youโre transitioning from fueling your body with carbs to fat so donโt try and go low fat. I usually do ground beef, Brussels cut in half, celery, onion, broccoli, cauliflower, small amounts of carrots, bone broth (thatโs important. Not beef broth. Bone broth has more protein), spices garlic. Onion. Tumeric. Chili powder. Salt. Mustard as weird as it sounds. And I like it with sauerkraut on top ha.
