I thought I’d share this article that came across my email today for long term motivation. Cliff notes: The gut microbiome may hold the key to healthy aging and reducing cardiovascular disease risk. Researchers analyzed data from over 19,000 individuals and found that those with a "younger" gut microbiome had a lower risk of CVD, regardless of their chronological age and other factors, suggesting that maintaining a youthful gut microbiome could counteract CV risks in older adults.

We are what we eat and in fact we literally are made of the same elements found in the dirt. Somehow before the periodic table the ancient texts such as the Bible knew this. Yet we eat almost nothing from the earth anymore. We were meant to eat in seasons, locally sourced, and Whole Foods. It’s only been 100 years that we’ve now tried eating entirely manufactured and processed food. It’s an experiment that hasn’t gone well. Haha
